by Jennifer Lichlyter on 07/14/11

Excitement is building as our first camper is on her way to Camp RUNAMUCK! Jim left the house at 4:15 this morning to catch a flight from Baltimore to Houston to pick up our first camper -- yes, Camp RUNAMUCK offers a "Travel Buddy" program!

Thanksgiving 2010

by Jennifer Lichlyter on 11/26/10

Peace, love, turkey! What a wonderful Thanksgiving! We think it's been nearly 30 years since Jim and his sisters have spent a holiday together. So much for which to be grateful! The group photo is only a small fraction of the Lichlyter Clan --- we'll work on that!

Rose and Tom hosted the Parise and Snow families at their house this year. Simultaneous celebrations just down the street. Next year we should stream live video ... or have one massive!

Check out some fun pictures from this year's Thanksgiving. And take a trip down memory lane with a glimps of Thansgivings past.

Texas Visit - November 2010

by Jennifer Lichlyter on 11/23/10

We had a wonderful long weekend in Texas! My head hit the pillow at 3:06 a.m. today after a late flight from Houston to BWI, and a two-hour drive home. Thank goodness for Jim, he's a great driver! Anticipating the late night, I had pillows and blankies packed in the car for the ride home. We met up with Sarah at BWI, so she's back in PA for a while!

We were blessed to be able to spend some time with Amana, Chris, Abbie and baby Collin. Collin looks just like his Daddy. Chris' sister Nicole was also visiting from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for Thanksgiving. Her two children, Adley and Asher are adorable. We had so much fun. I posted some pictures and video from the visit.

We were also fortunate to be able to spend time with some dear friends in The Woodlands. Not much has changed there in the year and a half since we've been gone. We reminisced about all of the wonderful times spent with the children there, and how quickly that time passed -- all of the bike rides to school, choir and orchestra concerts, volleyball and football games, field hockey and lacross games ...

We're tired, but excited about Thanksgiving this week. We have so much for which to be grateful!

Beautiful Fall Colors

by Jennifer Lichlyter on 10/29/10

The colors this fall have been absolutely breathtaking. This week's rain and wind have stripped many trees of their vibrant leaves. I couldn't resist the blue sky and beautiful colors today ... just had to go take some pictures while there was still some color to share.

Here's a link to the pictures.

Updated Homepage

by Jennifer Lichlyter on 10/27/10

There are years and years of family memories posted on this site. I believe that one of the best things we can give our children is memories and famly stories. This site is full of them, and there's more to come!

I finally took some time this week to start going through the website and updating it a bit. Wow, how to categorize the years of memories? It's still far from perfect, I've learned a lot about web publishing over the years!

I will continue to post the list of new pages on the main 'picture index' page, so you can scroll through that list to find all of the previous posts.

Curtis' Homecoming

by Jennifer Lichlyter on 10/27/10

I had so much fun taking pictures of Curtis and his date, Abbey, last Saturday. It was Curtis' first homecoming. They were all so cute! I think Abbey really appreciated the wrist corsage. The three couples were on their way to Red Lobster for dinner, then off to the dance in the high school gym.

Check out the pictures, and take a minute to stroll down memory lane at the may other homecomings and proms that we've been lucky to photograph over the past ten years!

And I thought the days of photographing homecomings and proms were behind me! I guess they're just beginning ... again! Love it!

Isn't technology great? Jaime inspired me to try the 'blog' feature on our family website. If you haven't seen Jaime's food blog, check it out at http://tastydeeds.tumblr.com/. She does a great job of combining her love of writing with her love of cooking. It's a great blog!

So here we go ... feel free to give this a try. I'm learning as well! Click on the "Comment" link and send a note!

Love y'all!
